David grew up in a small town in Winchester, Indiana (about the same size as Powell, Tennessee.) Being a lifelong lover of animals, he knew that Birchwood Kennels was right for him.
As a boy, he developed a love and passion for animals. At the age of 23, he went to work for the state of Indiana as an officer. He was later asked to join the K-9 team. During the course of his career, Dave aquired countless hours and training that he applies to taking care of the dogs trusted in his care. He is grateful to have been blessed to be a part of Birchwood Kennels. He believes that you are not just a customer to him, but you became part of the family with Birchwood Kennels.
